Your Resource For North Willamette Valley Country And Riverfront Properties
About John:
Francis and Virginia Davis, my parents, purchased their original 10 acres in Stafford in 1949. Dad had been a B-17 pilot during WW2 and resigned from the Air Force in 1948. He built our original home where it stands today in the heart of the Stafford basin on Stafford Road about 2 miles northwest of Wilsonville. Back then, Stafford and Wilsonville were still considered to be out in the sticks (early fifties & sixties). My brother Gene and I could gallop our horses up onto Pete’s Mountain or ride our bikes over to Roamer’s Rest to swim in the crystal clear water of the Tualatin River. You could dive into the water and see the trout swimming 30 feet away just like they were a foot from your face. Back then, our parents felt safe letting us ride our bikes around the countryside. There were only about 2 to 3 cars per hour along Stafford Road in the middle 50s. We were definitely in the country.
My brother and I both went into teaching after college: Gene at West Linn High School, and myself at Lake Oswego for ten years and then Grant in Portland for fifteen years.
In between my teaching tenures, I worked as a structural engineer. The work was primarily with marine development projects along the west coast.
In early1993, I went to work for Coldwell Banker as a real estate broker. I have specialized in Willamette Riverfront Property and North Willamette Valley Country Property plus property development projects for over 15 years. During this period, I have also worked on several community involvement projects related to country or riverfront property owner’s rights.
I enjoy working with riverfront and country property owners’/ buyers’ real estate transactions and property development projects. I put the needs and wishes of my clients first. You just get to sleep better at night when you do it that way. And I have been told I really need all the beauty rest that I can get.
My experience, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, financial expertise and business savvy along with accreditations has been central to helping clients succeed in real estate property transactions. Some of these credits are:

Away from the Real Estate business world, Marilyn, my wife, and I enjoy relaxing at our 1970 built home along the Willamette River just south of Wilsonville. I enjoy working in the small vineyard on the property. Our yard also provides us with abundant flower gardens which Marilyn planted and attends to with loving care. We also enjoy an occasional trip to the beach.
As a realtor, I believe in always working with the highest levels of integrity and honesty. I am always working to expand my knowledge base so that I can provide meaningful current information and assistance to my clients.
